Colonial Revived

This 1890’s Colonial Revival house renovation updated and expanded the home for today’s lifestyle, while also “historically correcting” poor additions and renovations of past decades. Original features were returned to the home exterior utilizing lower maintenance and higher performance building materials. The new 2-story rear addition compliments the original character in scale, massing, and cohesive materials and details. Interior connections between old and new spaces were as thoughtfully considered as the addition itself, intentionally aligned to improve flow and natural light, direct the eye to frame views, and seamlessly transition from the 1890s to the 2020s.
